Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials on construction, demolition, or mining sites. The operator ensures safe, efficient, and precise work in accordance with project plans, safety regulations, and company standards.

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform digging, trenching, grading, and material handling tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes to determine work requirements.
• Inspect and maintain equipment daily, checking fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, and controls to ensure proper working condition.
• Load and unload materials, including debris, dirt, rock, and construction materials, as required.
• Communicate with site supervisors, ground crew, and other operators to coordinate work and maintain safety.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, including cleaning, greasing, and minor repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA and company policies.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or hazards to maintenance or management personnel.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately, on time, and according to project specifications.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Proven 5 years’ experience as an excavator or heavy equipment operator.
• Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license (as required by state or local regulations).
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
• Must be able to sit, stand, or operate equipment for extended periods.

• 50% paid insurance after 90 days
• 6 paid holidays
• 1 week paid vacation
• Rate $30-35 hourly
