Essential Functions / SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately perform movements with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposures vary: weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing:
Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments:
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Standing:
Most tasks are performed standing. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile or bricks with linoleum in some food process areas. Work surface heights between 36" and 48".
Walking:
Short-distance movement. Sitting:
Office paperwork at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds and involve cases of ingredients and supplies; stacks up to 72" high. Carrying:
Cans up to 3 pounds 7 ounces and occasionally pizza sauce up to 40 pounds. Trays of pizza dough weigh ~12 pounds per tray. Pushing/pulling:
Move trays on dollies with effort up to 7.5 pounds; some tasks involve pulling. Climbing:
Navigate stairs or ladders to change prices or perform maintenance. Stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching required in various tasks, including reaching above 72" to turn on/off ovens or adjust signs.
Hand tasks:
Eye-hand coordination essential. Frequent use of both hands. Handling pizza dough, pizza peel, rolling cutter, and other utensils. Grasping cans, phones, and boxes.
Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids:
Pens/pencils, computers, telephones, calculators, and pizza-related tools.
Deliver product by car and to customer doors. Deliver flyers and door hangers.
RequiresValid driver’s license with a safe driving record; access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
Essential SkillsNavigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. Ability to navigate adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
