Accounting Supervisor

Location: Deerfield, IL |
Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week

SNI Financial is partnered with a global & publicly traded company that is hiring an Accounting Supervisor. This individual will be leading a small team along with general accounting and cost accounting functions.

• Review product cost analysis, costing, and accruals involved in the monthly cost package
• Review journal entries, balance sheets, and inventory related reconciliations
• Update material standards and ensure compliance with internal controls including SOX
• Review the preparation of various reports involving inventory, finished goods, and expenses
• Review analysis of freight expenses
• Support special projects and coordinate audits
• Identify and enhance processes within the department
• Lead a small team of accountants by providing mentorship, coaching, and oversight
• Develop strong relationships with other accounting & finance departments to enhance decision making
• Support other accounting & finance departments during their busier times with financial reporting & corporate close.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Previous team management experience required
• Previous experience working for a company of $1B+ in revenue
• CPA preferred
• Understanding of inventory related accounting & product costing helpful
