Tax Accountant

Overview

Tax Accountant – Fast Growing CPA Firm. Hybrid opportunity located in the Deerfield, Illinois area. We are tax specialists that are committed to developing young tax accountants who are hungry to learn and grow with the firm. In this role, you will assist with client engagements in our various industry focus for tax preparation, planning and projects. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational and client service skills, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a semi-autonomous manner.

$80,000.00/yr - $/yr

• Prepare and manage projects including federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations
• Review Quick Books accounting files and create adjusting entries to prepare reports for tax return preparation
• Assist with comprehensive tax planning for client engagements
• Build and maintain client relationships and manage all aspects of the client engagement process
• Research tax law and consult on tax technical questions
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Assist clients with Quick Books entries and accounting related matters
• Must have a strong ability to meet deadlines and be willing to work longer hours during tax season

• 1 to 8 years of public accounting experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA is highly desired
• Experience with Quick Books software (Online and Desktop)
• Experience with CCH Pro System software is preferred
