The Director of Procurement will lead the procurement department, develop strategic sourcing initiatives and support individual businesses within the enterprise.
Responsibilities- Planning, implementing and executing the Premi Star procurement strategy.
- Grow and maintain enterprise partnerships.
- Regularly communicate department activities, buyouts, trends, systems and products to the enterprise.
- Continuously manage and update buy lines and programs.
- Consistent spot checks and order confirmations.
- Maintain buyout projections of material for jobs.
- Stave off increases as best as possible.
- Coordinate bulk buys, combining jobs to protect costs.
- Organize materials from inventory write off to go to wholesalers.
- Maintain contact with jobs in process and upcoming and ongoing projects for savings opportunities
- Oversee and delegate purchase job orders.
- Oversee inventory orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Oversee and manage tool programs.
- Time and Material Tracking.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required. BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Finance preferred.
Experience
- 10 years' experience in mechanical trades
- 5 years' experience in procurement and management
Skill Requirements
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and accounting program experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
