SummaryThe UCAN Market Planner (MP) will be an inventory analysis expert for the UCAN region. This role will critically examine and mitigate supply exceptions and lead monthly and quarterly deep dive events between key partners such as the region Market Planners, Demand Planners, and fulfillment teams with a focus on released to received inventory ensuring customer needs are met.
Responsibilities- Align tasks with Supply (Network) Planners, Region Market Planners and Network Logistics to mitigate short and medium‑term supply and inventory issues.
- Provide support with inventory analysis, report building and audit trail investigation.
- Identify and support closure of gaps in inventory deployment process between supply and customer demand by location.
- Execute analysis to ensure a balanced network within country nodes.
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement ideas and projects.
- Drive inventory optimization opportunity analysis and deployment; analyze and report inventory variance as the accountable owner.
- Own the communication through the S&OE process supporting the logistics team for supply issues, including leading monthly and quarterly collaborative function meetings to review pipelines and manage country fulfillment and back‑order risks with Supply (Network) Planner and deployment and logistics teams.
- Provide country or market‑level feedback to Network Planner such as changes in any required parameters for cluster/country (e.g., lead time (F), safety stock (MP), freq. (F)). Communicate with Supply (Network) Planner’s and other stakeholders any DRP parameters and proactively resolve supply issues.
- Understand, resolve, communicate, and elevate low cover products, compiling escalations and tracking for regional review.
- Monitor customer vs DC limits and rebalance product allocation when needed in cooperation with Region Market Planners and commercial intelligence.
- Update JDE sourcing to direct DP forecast to the correct BP (site) subject to geographies and local processes/ownership.
- Build and maintain reports for visibility of transfer orders, network imbalances, and customer sourcing DC specific need reports.
- Provide proposals for supply issue resolution and make recommendations for stakeholder approval.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, minimum of 3 years related experience in supply chain management – distribution, logistics, transportation, or inventory planning.
- Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to judge when to deep dive – self‑driven to achieve outcomes.
- Proficient in Rapid Response or other relevant planning systems.
- Significant experience prioritizing and adapting to change.
- Proven stakeholder management skills (including influencing, communication, negotiating and conflict management) and experience in a geographically diverse, matrix organization.
- Basic Project management skill and lean/continuous improvement.
- Customer focused, service mindset.
- Local language skills required.
