Hygiene Assistant at Heartland Dental
Schedule Availability Needed- Monday 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Tuesday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Wednesday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Briawood Park Dental Care is looking for a Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This role offers extensive on‑the‑job training for individuals with little to no dental experience, providing the opportunity to work side by side with seasoned hygienists to deliver the best patient care.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey, sustaining comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ health histories to support quality care.
- Assist hygienists with a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act regulations.
- Prepare treatment rooms, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
- Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Maintain safety protocols, adhering to OSHA and CDC recommendations.
- Partner with providers and team members to follow office systems and maximize workflow.

- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Team player who can thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically.
- Regular HIPAA training; must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.
- On‑the‑job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
- Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; accommodations may be provided.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Pass a tuberculosis (TB) test required for all new hires in dental office positions.
