Are you passionate about working with young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing and engaging environment? Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team and help create a strong foundation for early learning.

Our Assistant Teachers play a vital role in supporting Lead Teachers, ensuring that every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support & Child Development
- Assist in planning and implementing daily classroom activities.
- Treat each child with dignity and respect, recognizing their unique needs and backgrounds.
- Help children develop problem-solving skills, independence, and self-confidence.
- Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment.
- Support children in activities that promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise the classroom when the Lead Teacher is out of the room.
- Assist with meal preparation, snack distribution, and clean-up.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher and administrative staff to maintain a high-quality learning environment.
- Maintain open communication with parents, sharing children's daily milestones.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children and their families.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, sit on the floor & move classroom furniture or equipment as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not already certified.
- Be part of a supportive, collaborative team dedicated to early childhood education.
