- Apply risk framework to Participant obligations contained in Network operating regulations
- Review legal and commercial documents to understand the Participant’s activity, structure and associated risk
- Manage escalations to ensure they follow appropriate governance, supporting the business with applicable remediation tasks
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
- Provide education and monitor the business on requirements of company policies and standards related to risk and control ownership.
- Develop and implement job aids and tools to facilitate efficient completion of policy and standard requirements.
- Identify and implement effective controls to manage operational, financial, and compliance risks>
- Monitor the risk and control environment for weaknesses and identify solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
- Assist with completion of projects and develop, implement, and administer control standardization and workflow solutions.
- Create continual monitoring exception reports for critical business processes.
- Work as a liaison between Payments Risk and partners such as Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Third Party Risk Management, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in Financial Services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations, or Vendor Management.
- 6+ years of experience in Financial Services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations, Vendor Management, area, Operational and Regulatory risk.
- Payments/Financial industry experience
- Excellent presentation skills

Riverwoods, IL: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Risk Specialist
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
