Location (city, state): Deerfield, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Addison Group is partnering with an established, globally recognized organization to identify a strategic Compensation Manager. This role supports key compensation initiatives in a multi-site, global environment, offering long-term impact, leadership visibility, and professional growth.

Job Description:

The Compensation Manager will lead compensation program execution, partner closely with HR and leadership, and manage both U.S. and global compensation planning cycles. This includes evaluating jobs, overseeing benchmarking efforts, and ensuring system optimization within Workday. The role may also evolve to include direct people leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of compensation strategies across U.S. and international locations
  • Support large-scale compensation initiatives such as benchmarking, pay equity reviews, and M&A integration
  • Guide HRBPs and leaders in market competitiveness, retention, and compensation planning
  • Manage annual compensation planning cycles including merit and incentive reviews
  • Ensure data accuracy and system alignment in Workday for compensation processes
  • Conduct job evaluations and participate in external salary surveys
  • Develop and deliver training and communication for various compensation programs
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant compensation laws and practices
  • Potentially manage one direct report as the role evolves

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of compensation experience in corporate or consulting environments
  • At least 5 years leading complex compensation projects (e.g., M&A, global benchmarking)
  • Experience supporting large employee populations (ideally 2,000+)
  • Strong experience with Workday, including incentive processing
  • Background in multi-site, matrixed organizations
  • Global and/or executive compensation exposure preferred
  • Sales compensation and M&A project experience a plus
  • CCP certification (or in progress) strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills
  • Hybrid work environment (2 remote days/week)
