We are seeking a skilled SAG Developer with strong experience in Software AG web Methods and integration development.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise across various SAG components, interface development, MFT events, and API design.

This role requires strong technical problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to support end‑to‑end development, testing, documentation, and post‑go‑live activities.

The developer will contribute to high‑quality code, participate in Agile delivery, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure robust integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and support integrations using SAG web Methods components (IS, MWS, Designer, Adaptor, UM/JMS/Broker, Active Transfer, Terracotta Cache).
  • Perform hands‑on development for interfaces, MFT events, and APIs.
  • Build real‑time and batch interfaces including file transfer, large file handling, flat file schemas, JSON, XML, IDOC, topics/queues.
  • Configure MFT events such as scheduled events, virtual folders, passwordless connectivity, scripts, and success/failure alerts.
  • Develop APIs with concepts such as Trusted/DMZ zones, SSL certificates, REST, and API testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman).
  • Collaborate with departments/customers on project status and proposals.
  • Support technical issues related to design, maintenance, firewall/NSG requests, certificates, and post‑go‑live warranty support.
  • Execute unit testing, performance testing, smoke testing, and support end‑to‑end testing.
  • Prepare documentation including low‑level design (LLD), unit test plans/results, runbooks, deployment plans, and transition documents.
  • Align development activities with Agile methodologies and sprint models.
  • Support A2A and B2B integration scenarios and file transfers.
  • Adapt to new technologies introduced as part of integration modernization.
  • Develop clean, error‑free code and assist in technical reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and reusable components.
  • Participate in defect RCA and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Estimate time, effort, and dependencies for assigned modules.
  • Contribute to project knowledge repositories and status reporting.
  • Execute release processes and prepare LLDs for multiple components.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of hands‑on development experience in Middleware Software AG web Methods and integration.
  • Strong experience with SAG components: IS, MWS, Designer, Adaptor, UM/JMS/Broker, Active Transfer, Terracotta Cache.
  • Hands‑on experience in interface development, MFT events, and API development.
  • Knowledge of SSH/RSA/PGP keys and basic Unix commands.
  • Understanding of security, SSL certificates, high availability, and configuration management for integration solutions.
  • Experience in unit, performance, and smoke testing.
  • Ability to develop technical documents such as LLD, test plans, deployment guides, and runbooks.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver high‑quality, error‑free code.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint‑based delivery.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Engineering Graduate/MCA with 3+ years of software engineering experience, OR
  • Science/Commerce Graduate/BCA with 4+ years of software engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of API Gateway.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Understanding of Cloud concepts (Azure or other cloud platforms).
  • Experience in designing B2B, A2A, real‑time, and batch integrations.
  • Ability to mentor peers and contribute to reuse and process improvements.
