Lead Platform Engineer (Global Payment Network)
Join Capital One as a Lead Platform Engineer and drive a major transformation within the Global Payment Network. Work with product owners, deliver Dev Ops tools, and build scalable solutions in a fast‑paced, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with product owners to define application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Continuously improve software engineering practices across the platform.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full‑stack technical solutions within Agile teams.
- Lead craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions.
- Stay on top of technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor engineering community members.
- Encourage innovation, cutting‑edge technology implementation, inclusion, teamwork, and diverse thinking.
- Utilize scripting languages (Python, SQL, Ruby, groovy), container orchestration services (Docker, ECS), configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform), and AWS tools and services.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git Hub, or Artifactory).
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS.
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Compensation- Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400
- McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800
- Riverwoods, IL: $144,000 - $164,400
