Lead Software Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, AWS - Global Payment Network)
Join Capital One as a Lead Software Engineer and help drive a major transformation within the Global Payment Network. You’ll build cloud‑based microservices, mentor developers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver powerful experiences for millions of Americans.
What You’ll Do- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and manage a team of distributed microservices developers.
- Stay current on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor peers through internal and external communities.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that meet regulatory needs.
- Utilize languages such as Java, JavaScript, Type Script, SQL, Python, Go, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not count).
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Master’s Degree.
- 7+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, Type Script, SQL, Python, or Go.
- 3+ years of cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or other).
- 4+ years of experience with open‑source frameworks.
- 1+ year of people‑management experience.
- 2+ years of Agile practices experience.
