Connah's Quay - ALN Administration Apprentice

We are looking to recruit an ALN Admin Apprentice to work alongside experienced teachers and undertake the following duties:

  • Manage student records and plans – keep track of students identified with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) and maintain documents such as Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Update records, meet legal requirements, and keep everything organised.
  • Coordinate support services – act as a hub between teachers, teaching assistants, parents and external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists or therapists). Arrange and communicate additional support as needed.
  • Support the ALNCo (Additional Learning Needs Coordinator) – handle administrative workload including scheduling meetings, preparing paperwork, and tracking progress data.
  • Organise meetings and reviews – arrange review meetings for students with ALN, invite relevant staff and parents, and record outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations – make sure that deadlines, documentation and processes meet the strict legal guidelines required in places such as Wales.
  • Handle communication – respond to emails or queries from parents and staff about support arrangements, keeping all parties informed.
