Our client, a leading engineering business within the aerospace and defence sector, is looking to recruit an experienced Product Line Engineering Manager to join their Leadership Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven engineering leader to oversee product development, support business growth, and lead a high-performing engineering team.

The Role As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities across new product development, in-service support, technology development and new business opportunities. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while developing and supporting your team.

Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, managing recruitment, performance and resource planning. Support business growth through customer engagement and new business proposals. Manage new product development programmes from contract award through to production. Oversee engineering support for existing products, including technical investigations and issue resolution. Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and best practice. Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve business and engineering objectives.

Support compliance with relevant industry standards and quality processes. About You You'll be an experienced engineering professional with strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach. Ideally, you'll have:
Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience. At least 10 years' engineering experience, ideally within aerospace or defence. Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex engineering projects. Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
