We're looking for an Electrical Facilities Engineer to help maintain the safe, efficient and compliant operation of a busy Head Office and Distribution Centre environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a broad role, combining hands-on maintenance, contractor management and compliance activities.
Working closely with the Engineering team, you'll play a key role in ensuring site infrastructure, building services and essential systems remain reliable and fully compliant.
What You'll Be Doing
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site facilities and infrastructure
• Supporting the maintenance of electrical systems, building services and site utilities
• Conducting routine inspections and ensuring compliance with site standards and statutory requirements
• Supporting emergency lighting, fire alarm systems and other critical site services
• Managing and coordinating external contractors on maintenance and improvement projects
• Assisting with site upgrades, installations and continuous improvement activities
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and general maintenance issues
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensuring all activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
What We're Looking For
• Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Experience working with contractors and managing external suppliers
• Good understanding of compliance requirements and safe systems of work
• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across different departments
