Interim Financial Controller

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based manufacturing organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on an initial 3-6 month contract (temp-to-perm opportunity). Based in the North West, you will work a hybrid model. This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Finance professional with strong manufacturing experience, looking for a role with long-term potential.

Salary/benefits: £65,000-£70,000 (pro rata / equivalent) Flexible working - hybrid model available

Job Duties:

Oversee accounts payable and sales processing, supervising 1 member of staff Full production of monthly management accounts pack with detailed commentary Provide analysis of month-end reporting, including variance analysis Take ownership of the costing model, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement Analyse profit margins by customer and product line Manage invoice discounting processes and cash management activities Produce robust cashflow forecasting Provide financial and stock control support to senior leadership team Mentor and develop junior team members in accounting best practices Who will I report in to?

Finance Director When will interviews be taking place? Interviews will be happening as soon as possible Ideal experience ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (or Qualified by Experience) Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), MRP systems and margin analysis

Experience with Sage 200 and ideally Sicon Manufacturing (or similar integrated MRP systems) Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools advantageous Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
