Role Overview

Support Worker – help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

Location

Ewloe, Flintshire

Hours

Part‑time or full‑time; shift pattern includes weekends and sleep‑ins.

Salary

£12.74 per hour; sleep‑in shifts £60 per night; travel expenses paid 45p per mile.

Contract

Permanent.

What you’ll be doing
  • Support four young, outgoing adults who enjoy being socialable, active in the community and having fun – music, bowling, cinema, sports, shopping, coffee and any out‑and‑about activity.
  • Empower individuals to make their own choices and set their own goals – everyday decisions like what to wear, eat or do, and bigger decisions like where to live, how to manage finances or where to go on holiday.
  • Offer practical support to help people meet responsibilities such as paying bills, maintaining homes, being good neighbours and staying connected with friends and family.
Qualifications
  • Patience and empathy.
  • Support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Speak on behalf of others and to a range of professional people.
  • Good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning.
  • A full driving licence – essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities.
  • Access to your own car and happy to use it to transport people we support to and from activities and obtain business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this.
