The Role:As a
Senior Support Worker
, you’ll take a lead role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support during daytime hours. You’ll support individuals to live with greater independence and dignity, while guiding and mentoring your team to ensure consistent, compassionate care.
- Lead and support the day team in delivering tailored care and support
- Promote independence and choice through meaningful activities and routines
- Build strong relationships with individuals, families, and professionals
- Support with personal care, emotional wellbeing, and daily living skills
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
- Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming
- Uphold Autism Pathways’ values and promote a person-centred approach
- Experienced and confident in supporting individuals with autism and complex needs
- Leadership skills – able to guide and support a team effectively
- Empathetic and proactive – passionate about making a difference
- Reliable and resilient – able to manage behaviours and respond to challenges
- Organised and detail-oriented – with strong observation and reporting skills
- Flexible – willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends
- Committed to development – open to training and progression opportunities
Experience in autism, learning disabilities, or complex behavioural needs is essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
