Service Manager

We are recruiting a Service Manager on behalf of a reputable family-run dealership group located in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales. This individual will lead the service department, overseeing operational efficiency, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Salary up to 37,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Performance-based bonuses up to 10,000 per annum ( 4,800 for target achievement).

• Working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with one in three Saturday mornings, 8:00am-1:00pm.

Duties of a Service Manager:

• Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards.
• Lead a team comprising 3 technicians and 1 service advisor.
• Support and support colleagues, fostering a positive working environment.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and maximise workshop capacity.
• Maintain departmental policies to uphold reputation and customer satisfaction.
• Potentially utilise Pinnacle DMS (training provided if necessary).

Requirements of a Service Manager:

• Proven experience as a Service Manager within a franchise-approved dealership is preferred.
• Alternatively, individuals with experience as an Assistant Service Manager, Senior Service Advisor, or Workshop Controller seeking career progression will be considered.
• Mechanical knowledge or a background in vehicle repair is advantageous but not essential.
• IT literacy is required.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician is desirable but not essential.
