ZETEC Recruitment are working with a manufacturing business in Deeside to recruit a Production Team Leader.

This role would suit an experienced shop floor leader who is comfortable managing people, organising daily work and helping keep production running smoothly.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team within a busy production and assembly setting, making sure work is completed safely, to the required standard and in line with business priorities.

• Manage day-to-day activity across the production area
• Plan and organise work across the team to support output and efficiency
• Make sure quality, safety and productivity standards are maintained
• Support team members with training, development and performance
• Deal with day-to-day people matters in a professional and practical way
• Work with other departments to help resolve issues around materials, stock, quality and workflow
• Use production systems to support planning, stock visibility and work priorities
• Look for ways to improve processes, reduce issues and improve performance
• Escalate concerns where needed and help ensure actions are followed through
• Promote a safe, organised and positive working environment

• Experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role within manufacturing
• Background in assembly, automotive, engineering, aerospace or similar would be an advantage
• Confident leading people in a hands‑on production environment
• Able to organise workloads and make decisions in a busy setting
• Good communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Comfortable dealing with performance, attendance or employee issues when required
• Able to challenge existing ways of working and suggest improvements
• An understanding of Lean, 5S or continuous improvement would be beneficial
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and production-related systems
