Senior Mill Line Operator

• Set up, start, and operate laser-welded tube forming and in-line roll reduction equipment
• Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure products consistently meet quality specifications while minimising waste
• Carry out routine line changeovers, tooling changes, and roll pass adjustments for different product sizes and specifications
• Ensure continuous, efficient production while minimising unplanned downtime
• Troubleshoot production, mechanical, and process issues to maintain operational efficiency
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and respond promptly to any deviations
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to maximise production performance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety procedures

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating metal tube forming or similar continuous metal processing lines
• Proven experience working with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and HMI interfaces
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with an understanding of tooling, roll passes, and forming mechanics
• Experience operating ERW or laser-welded tube forming lines is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of roll reduction, drawing, or similar metal processing operations
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong quality focus with the ability to identify and resolve production issues quickly
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to complete production documentation and shift handovers
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider production team
