East Area Children’s Services are looking to recruit a Part-time, Band 7 Team Manager within the Community Public Health Team, that of Health Visiting and School Nursing.
The Team Manager is responsible for the management and leadership of the Health Visiting and School nursing teams within the community, in order to ensure the delivery of a safe, high quality evidence based service for children, young people and their families.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Health Visitor or School Nurse, with excellent communication skills, who meets the requirements of the Personal Specification and Job Description.
The post holder will have responsibility over the Flintshire/Wrexham area teams.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will have broad knowledge within the field of Health Visiting and/or School Nursing and Service related Key Performance Indicators, also a wider understanding of the Public Health needs of the population across the localities covered by the teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

- Continued professional and management development
- Relevant Degree
- Evidence of mentoring
- Assessment and / or teaching
- Management experience at band 6 or above
- Relevant Clinical Experience
- Child Protection / Safeguarding training at Level 3
- Service and / or policy development
- Evidence of financial management skills and ability
- Evidence of change management
- Leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise work to tight deadlines
- Effective communication at team levels and with other agencies and general public
- Team working / motivational skills
- IT Skills
- Research & Audit Skills
Essential Criteria
