Shift: Permanent Days Working Hours Monday Thursday: 07:3016:30 2 x 10-minute paid breaks 30-minute unpaid lunch break Friday: 07:3012:30 Additional overtime may be required when workload demands.
The Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join an established inspection team within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS , with the ability to create new inspection programs for new components directly from CAD models . Alongside CMM programming, you will carry out dimensional inspection of manufactured components, interpret engineering drawings and support the wider quality and inspection function.
Key Responsibilities Programme and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS Create new CMM inspection programmes from 3D CAD models Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of manufactured components Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances and GD&T Inspect components using CMMs and conventional measuring equipment Produce and review dimensional inspection reports Identify and report non-conforming components Support investigations into quality issues and manufacturing defects Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve dimensional or quality concerns Maintain accurate inspection and quality records Support the wider inspection team and complete additional overtime when required Skills & Experience Essential:
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, CMM Programmer or CMM Inspector Strong experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS Able to create CMM programmes for new parts from CAD models Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and GD&T Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges Experience inspecting precision-engineered or machined components Desirable:
Background within CNC machining, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or another high-tolerance manufacturing environment
Experience with first article inspection / FAIRs Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 Package Early finish on Fridays Overtime available at 1.5x rate Opportunity to join an experienced engineering inspection team Free on site parking Benefits:
