Load Safety Checker

Multimodal Solutions is looking for a Load Safety Checker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our customer site in Shotton, Flintshire, Wales.

• Competitive Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

• Meet and greet incoming LGV drivers, carrying out site inductions and safety briefings
• Monitor and enforce customer load safety and load restraint standards across site operations
• Conduct safety inspections of trailers prior to loading and unloading activities
• Assist drivers in preparing trailers for loading and ensure loads are correctly configured before departure
• Supervise and control haulier drivers while on site, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures
• Complete reports relating to non-conformances and safety issues, escalating concerns where appropriate
• Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm (site-based, outdoors in all weather conditions)

• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements within road haulage, transport, or logistics sector
• Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
• Ideal: CCNSG Safety Passport and knowledge of LGV driver procedures, trailer types, and relevant HSE legislation
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and basic IT proficiency
• Flexible and proactive approach, ability to work outdoors and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Full, clean driving licence
