ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Current accredited FLT/MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, AITT or equivalent), valid throughout the period of hire.
The Logistics Operative is responsible for ensuring the operational safety of major equipment and systems, managing all materials safely and efficiently in compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), authorised quality procedures, risk assessments, manual handling protocols, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Accurate and timely record-keeping is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct activities related to the safe receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of materiel in line with local and central health and safety policies.
 
* Utilise Logistics Information Systems (Log IS) to select stock for issue or receipt and prepare all necessary documentation.
 
* Prepare shipping containers by stuffing and de-stuffing to ensure timely delivery, including completion of relevant consignment paperwork.
 
* Load and unload materiel safely and efficiently, adhering to current operating procedures.
 
* Validate all paperwork, including labelling, and accurately locate assets for storage.
 
* Process shipping documents and coordinate asset release for work, liaising effectively with customers and warehouse personnel.
 
* Maintain up-to-date records within MOD Logistic Information Systems (Log IS).
 
* Communicate with customers to provide all necessary information to fulfil demands.
 
* Handle classified equipment with care, ensuring its secure movement to and storage within the warehouse.
