Dental Assistant

Our office, Center for Oral Surgery, in Defiance, OH, is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

We are looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve patient lives by providing world‑class specialty care at our main Defiance location and satellite offices in Wauseon, Byran, and Ottawa.

• Travel to and provide service at all satellite locations (Wauseon, Byran, & Ottawa).
• Welcome patients and prepare them for treatment, ensuring their comfort.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through four‑handed dentistry.
• Provide oral hygiene and post‑operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well‑stocked.
• Schedule appointments and post‑op visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with payment procedures.
• Coordinate additional office responsibilities as needed.

• At least 1–2 years of proven experience as a dental assistant; specialty experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non‑surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Well‑organized and reliable.
• A high school diploma.
• A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law).
• An active state radiology license (if required by law).
