This full-time, on-site Product Engineer role is based at Allied Moulded Products, Inc. in Defiance, OH. The Product Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electrical boxes and enclosure products, from concept through production, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams on product specifications, conducting engineering analyses, and creating detailed drawings and documentation. The role involves supporting research and development activities, validating designs through testing, and working with manufacturing to optimize materials, processes, and assembly methods.

The Product Engineer also responds to customer and internal inquiries, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and helps maintain compliance with relevant industry standards.

• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, performance evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Product engineering experience, including product design and development of molded or enclosure products.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customers.
• Experience in research and development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and validating new designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering documentation tools.
• Understanding of plastics, composites, or molding processes is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial standards (such as NEMA or related enclosure requirements) is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Defiance, OH, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and timelines.
