The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives, delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader promotes a safe and productive work environment and trains Team Members on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Min 5%)- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts, with flexibility for varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Uphold and enforce safety policies.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
- Greet the customer.
- Uncover customer’s needs and wants.
- Recommend product solutions.
- Ask to add value & appreciate the customer.
- Perform duties during 95% of day (examples):
- Execute merchandising, opening/closing procedures, transport & deposits, assess store conditions, organize workflow, recover merchandise, freight process, price changes, resolve complaints, loss prevention, communicate with team, operate cash register/computer, supervise cash handling, train team, sanitize & maintain poultry holdings, operate forklift & baler, complete documentation, obtain required licenses/certifications.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Retail experience and/or knowledge of farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required; must read, write, and count accurately.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills; resolve issues ethically.
- Ability to perform and execute key responsibilities of Team Members.
- Indoor working environment, moderate noise; outdoor lots hard surfaces.
- Work shifts typically 4–8+ hours; may need to work outdoors in adverse weather.
- Safety training and guidelines must be followed.
- Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 2,000 lbs with equipment.
- Occasional lifting or reaching overhead; frequent standing, kneeling, twisting, crouching, squatting, bending, stooping, climbing ladders.
- Operate store equipment (dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register) – forklift & baler not required under age 18.
- Handle birds/poultry contact; complete required training and certifications (propane dispensing, etc.).
- Drive or operate a vehicle for business needs; ability to travel as required.
