Compensation and Location

Location:

Defiance, OH. Compensation:
Starting pay $38.64 per hour with a $5000 sign‑on bonus. The base hourly rate for this position is $38.64.

This position offers no mandatory overtime.

What You’ll Do
  • Inspect, assemble, install, and repair all electrical AC and DC circuits, instrumentation, switch gear, motors, and other electrical equipment throughout the plant.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as prescribed by Plant Supervision.
  • Aid Plant Mechanics and Operations personnel in resolving day-to-day equipment problems.
  • Adhere to Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
Hours

Hours:

6-2 rotating shift.

Shift details: A – 12 am to 8 am; B – 8 am to 4 pm; C – 4 pm to 12 am; D – rotation covering all three shifts with a defined cycle.

What You Bring to the Team
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Industrial Electrician Journeyman Card or equivalent experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use tools continuously; frequently reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Troubleshooting experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC drives and basic instrumentation (temperature, level, pressure)
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical equipment (digital multimeter, megger, etc.)
  • Ability to tolerate working from heights and elevated temperatures
  • Good hearing, vision (color), speaking, and finger dexterity
  • Basic computer skills and ability to understand technical prints, charts, and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other CMMS
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
