About the Role
The University is seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as  Dean – School of Engineering . The Dean will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to the School of Engineering, driving excellence in teaching, research, innovation, industry engagement, and accreditation. The role requires a visionary leader with a strong academic profile and a proven track record in institution building, faculty development, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
Provide strategic direction for the School of Engineering and align it with the University's vision and growth objectives.
Lead curriculum design and periodic revisions in line with emerging technologies, NEP 2020, and industry requirements.
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning outcomes, and student success.
Promote interdisciplinary education and experiential learning.
Research & Innovation
Foster a vibrant research ecosystem and enhance the quality and quantity of publications, patents, and externally funded projects.
Encourage faculty and students to undertake research, consultancy, and innovation initiatives.
Promote incubation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer activities.
Build collaborations with national and international institutions, research organizations, and industry partners.
Faculty Development & Talent Management
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty members.
Develop a performance-driven culture with emphasis on teaching excellence and research productivity.
Facilitate faculty development programs, conferences, and academic collaborations.
Student Success & Engagement
Ensure a holistic learning environment that supports academic excellence, employability, and entrepreneurship.
Promote student participation in projects, competitions, internships, and industry certifications.
Strengthen placement outcomes through industry engagement and career development initiatives.
Accreditation, Quality & Compliance
Lead accreditation and ranking initiatives including NBA, NAAC, NIRF, and other quality frameworks.
Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, and statutory requirements.
Establish mechanisms for continuous quality improvement and outcome-based education.
Industry & External Relations
Develop strong partnerships with industries, professional bodies, and government agencies.
Facilitate consultancy projects, sponsored research, executive education, and technology-driven collaborations.
Represent the School at academic forums, conferences, and external engagements.
Administration & Governance
Oversee academic planning, budgeting, infrastructure development, and resource allocation.
Ensure effective governance and smooth functioning of all departments within the School.
Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the reputation and growth of the School.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university.
First Class at Bachelor's and Master's level in Engineering/Technology.
Minimum  15 years of experience  in teaching, research, and academic administration, with at least  5 years in a leadership role  such as a Dean, or equivalent.
Strong record of high-quality research publications, funded projects, patents, and academic contributions.

Experience with accreditation processes (NBA, NAAC), rankings, and quality assurance frameworks.
