Job Summary
The Professor / Associate Professor – English will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students and research scholars, conducting impactful research, and contributing to curriculum development and academic leadership. This role requires expertise in English Language, English Literature, and Communication Skills.

Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in English Language, English Literature, and Communication Skills.
Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, workshops, and experiential learning sessions.
Mentor students and research scholars in academic projects, dissertations, and doctoral research.
Lead curriculum development, syllabus revision, academic planning, and accreditation activities.
Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and indexed publications.
Guide PhD scholars and supervise research projects in accordance with university and UGC norms.
Organize and participate in national and international conferences, faculty development programmes, seminars, and literary events.
Establish academic collaborations with universities, research organizations, and industry partners.
Contribute to departmental administration, institutional governance, and quality assurance initiatives.
Promote innovation, interdisciplinary research, and outcome-based education within the department.

Eligibility Criteria
Associate Professor
B.A. English, M.A. English, PhD in English ( Mandatory).
Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized university, college, or research institution.
Minimum 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE/Scopus-indexed journals.
Experience in guiding PhD scholars, with at least one research scholar successfully registered or awarded under their supervision.
Proven experience in academic leadership, research supervision, curriculum development, and institutional administrative responsibilities.
Female candidates will be preferred.
Professor
B.A. English, M.A. English, PhD in English ( Mandatory).
Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized university, college, or research institution, including experience as an Associate Professor.
Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE/Scopus-indexed journals.
Successfully guided multiple PhD scholars and demonstrated excellence in research supervision.
Strong record of funded research projects, academic leadership, institutional development, and curriculum innovation.
Female candidates will be preferred.
