Why this role exists AI agents now take real actions on real systems. They open pull requests, change cloud infrastructure, and update customer records. When something goes wrong, most teams can't say exactly what the agent did, and they can't prove it.
Kentron AI is building  Receipt  to close that gap. Every AI action is verified and replayable.
What we're building Receipt is a team chat workspace whose AI coworkers do real work. Agents write and run code in isolated sandboxes, connect to the SaaS tools teams already use, and turn open-ended requests into deterministic, repeatable results.
Every step is recorded as an append-only, cryptographically chained receipt. Receipts are not logs sitting beside the system. They are the system's source of truth, which gives you tamper evidence, replay, and crash recovery by design.
The platform has two halves.  Receipt  is the real-time chat experience.  Factory  is the durable agent execution engine behind it. Customers bring their own AI provider keys, so the platform stays model-agnostic.
What you'll own   Technical vision.  Set the long-term architecture for provable agent execution and decide what we build, buy, and defer.
The trust layer.  Evolve the receipt model from internal consistency toward independent, third-party verifiability.
Engineering execution.  Ship quickly without cutting corners on correctness, isolation, or security. Own reliability, observability, and incident response.
Security and compliance posture.  Build the technical foundations enterprise and regulated buyers require, including access auditing, data retention, and tenant isolation.
Team building.  Hire, mentor, and lead a small team of senior engineers. Set the engineering culture from day one.
Customer-facing depth.  Join design-partner and prospect conversations as the technical authority. Explain complex guarantees in plain language.
Founder partnership.  Work directly with the founder on roadmap, fundraising, and technical due diligence with investors.
Real problems waiting for you We'd rather tell you what's hard than oversell what's done:
Moving from hash-chain integrity to asymmetric attestation that outside parties can verify on their own
Completing access audit logging on the chat side
Turning replay from a runtime and CLI capability into a polished product experience
Designing agent-to-agent interoperability
Building automated retention and deletion that still respects an append-only history
What you bring  Deep experience designing and shipping distributed systems in production, ideally event-sourced or log-structured architectures
Hands-on strength in Type Script and modern cloud infrastructure on AWS, with infrastructure-as-code habits
Real experience building with LLMs and agentic systems, including their failure modes
Strong security instincts: sandboxing, credential handling, multi-tenant isolation, and threat modeling
A track record of leading engineers and making sound architecture calls under uncertainty
The ability to talk with a Staff Engineer, a CISO, and an investor in the same afternoon and adapt to each
Strong signals  Applied cryptography experience (hash chains, signatures, attestation, post-quantum schemes)
Background in AI security, compliance tooling, eDiscovery, or audit systems
Familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, or the EU AI Act

Experience with Bun, Effect, Hono, PostgreSQL, or real-time sync engines
Prior early-stage or founding-team experience
Compensation This is an  equity-only  role at pre-seed. There is no cash salary until we close our next financing round. We'll revisit cash compensation at that point.
