Position:
Youth Mental Health Case Therapist, Full Time
Job location:
DeKalb, IL (as listed in posting). This role supports youth mental health through psychotherapy and case management within an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide psychotherapy through various therapeutic modalities in an individual therapy setting and provide case management services as indicated.
- Assess and evaluate client needs, strengths, goals, and resources.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to review cases and develop individual treatment plans.
- Implement treatment through various therapeutic modalities.
- Consult with other center staff regarding problem assessment and treatment planning.
- Consult with other service agencies on case-specific and programmatic issues.
- Refer and link clients to other human services programs.
- Create clinical documentation in support of services provided on a timely basis.
- Train other providers and non-providers in areas relating to service specialties; function cooperatively as a member of the treatment team.
- Facilitate 1-2 group therapy sessions per week.
40 hours per week. 4 or 5 days between Monday and Friday. Primarily daytime hours with availability for two evenings per week until 8:30 PM.
QualificationsRequired:
- Master’s degree in Behavioral Health
- One year supervised clinical experience working in a behavioral health setting
- All NM, Ben Gordon Center (WR849) employees, at point of hire and annually, are required to have a valid State of Illinois driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and an annual driving abstract
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- For substance abuse therapist, CADC preferred and Substance Abuse experience.
