Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Material Handler - Forklift (Logistics) - 1st shift at CST Industries, Inc.
Under direction of department supervisor and operators, move material within department to and from departments using forklift, crane etc.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities- Safety oriented
- Identify, locate and move material to and from stock locations in a safe and productive manner through the use of standard forklift and overhead crane equipment.
- Perform daily forklift operator’s safety/maintenance checklist.
- Collect and perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months experience
- Ability to communicate with others both written and verbally
- Ability to communicate, read and write in English
- Ability to count and do basic arithmetic

Medium work - Lifting up to 50 pounds, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Moving over 50 pounds requires a lifting device or team lift.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery manufacturing plant. Employee must be able to work any shift.
