Experienced Veterinarian – Prairie View Animal Hospital

Who We Are Looking For

We seek a dedicated DVM with at least three years of small‑animal general practice experience, strong surgical skills, teamwork orientation, client‑education passion, and a commitment to excellent patient care.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals; diagnose disease or injury.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel regarding pet end‑of‑life care.
  • Maintain patient medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • State licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier loads.
