Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will be part of the transportation management team supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Logistics Coordinator
Location: DeKalb, IL / hybrid
Responsibilities- Execute product transportation efficiently and effectively by leveraging available tools and processes to surpass service expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, carriers, facilities, and deployment, while maintaining a professional demeanor in all forms of communication.
- Demonstrate initiative and make informed decisions independently, considering customer needs, facility requirements, and carrier capacity.
- Manage planning anomalies and analyze non-routine problems to understand underlying issues.
- Track shipments in transit and identify potential risks for mitigation.
- High School Diploma, with a college education preferred.
- Transportation and/or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
