Pharmacy Manager – Sign-On Bonus Available
Walgreens is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at a select store. The successful candidate will provide empathetic pharmacy consulting services, manage pharmacy staff, and drive operational excellence while ensuring a high quality patient experience.
Base Pay Range: $6,694.80–$7,354.20 bi‑weekly (salary varies by geography, skills, experience and other factors).
Responsibilities- Engage patients, resolve issues promptly, and promote Walgreens services including immunizations, drug therapy reviews, and wellness services.
- Lead pharmacy operations: prescription dispensing, compounding, medication management, and inventory control; maintain compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Manage pharmacy staff: hiring, performance reviews, training, coaching, and career development.
- Ensure accurate insurance claims processing and resolve insurance or provider issues; follow up with medical providers.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and technology, assist staff and patients, and seek productivity improvements.
- Conduct clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostics, disease‑state management, and wellness programs.
- Maintain a presentable pharmacy environment, manage housekeeping and equipment upgrades.
- Prepare required state/federal documentation, reports, and performance indicator reports; submit to regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with the store manager to identify strategic business opportunities and support community outreach.
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm
D from an accredited institution. - Current pharmacist licensure in the state(s) of operation.
- Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year of pharmacy experience (prescription filling, record‑keeping, compliance, operations, software, and insurance billing).
- Strong knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
- Leadership rating of at least 3.0 on the last performance review and no disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (internal candidates only).
- Supervisory experience managing pharmacy staff.
- At least six months of experience with Walgreens Pharmacies.
- Leadership rating of 3.7 or above on the last performance review (internal candidates only).
