Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview

Victoria Emergency Associates (VEA) at Val Verde Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine physician in Del Rio, Texas.

You will be joining a Level IV Trauma Center with 12 ED beds. A strong multi-specialty support team is in place, covering General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Interventional Cardiology, Nephrology, Interventional Radiology, and Pediatrics. The community also has a large Spanish-speaking population; therefore, ideal candidates will have Spanish language skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong, mission-driven group of EM professionals working daily to change lives throughout Del Rio, Texas.

• Provide Emergency Medicine coverage as part of a Level IV Trauma Center with 12 ED beds.
• Collaborate with a multi-specialty support team including General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Interventional Cardiology, Nephrology, Interventional Radiology, and Pediatrics.
• Interact with a Spanish-speaking community;
  Spanish language skills are advantageous.

• Full-time position, 120 hours/month, 7 am - 7 pm, 7 pm - 7 am
• Excellent multi-specialty support available
• Option to enroll in health, dental, and vision insurance plans

• Board-certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with significant ER experience
• Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD/DO) preferred
• ACLS, PALS, ATLS (not required for BC/EM)
• Spanish fluency preferred
