Network Services – Computer Support Technician (Senior) to perform network and computer support for Air Force Human Resources Systems Division (AF HRSD) at Randolph AFB, TX. The role involves planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.

• Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading computer operating systems and software and/or network operating systems software.
• Performing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for organizational IT systems and devices.
• Providing help desk support.
• Managing organizational system access and procedures required to grant network access.
• Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
• Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
• Analyzing network workload.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
• Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
• Ensuring rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with 5 years in the DoD; OR Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD; OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
• Advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in the technical/professional field.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and supervise junior and journeyman contractor personnel within the discipline.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of technical discipline and comprehensive understanding of associated standards, procedures, and practices.
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems, Unix, .NET, Java, JavaScript.
• Experience with MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
• IAT/IAM Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) is required.
• Active Secret security clearance.

• AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Professional Certification (or equivalent cloud-related certification).
