Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over nine years.
Responsibilities- Verify property occupancy and report general conditions using a mobile application.
- Complete most inspections within 5–6 minutes; deliver reports within four days after assignment.
- Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
- Complete a short form in the app.
- Be able to spend extended periods driving and making many stops within the assigned territory.
- Computer with internet connection.
- Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus – expenses paid by contractor).
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Printer.
- Valid driver’s license and pass a standard background check.
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Although paid per inspection, contractors typically earn the equivalent of $30–$40 per hour.
Depending on the county, contractors complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties lower rates. No set minimum or maximum; work is consistent month to month.
Earn more by becoming established, increasing availability, or covering larger territories. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
