Engineer Trainee in the Florida Department of Transportation's four-year Professional Engineer Training Program, based in District Five (DeLand). Candidates rotate through major disciplines including planning, traffic operations, structures, design, construction, and maintenance, shadowing professional staff and completing assigned technical tasks to prepare for professional engineering licensure and leadership roles.
Key qualifications:- United States citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
- Candidates must provide own work; AI tools prohibited for applications and interviews
- Access to professional development and training through agency learning management system
- Placement available in any of seven districts, Turnpike Enterprise, or Central Office based on performance and availability
