Position: Patient Service Technician – Local Delivery Driver

Location: Florida

Employment Type: Full‑time, Entry Level

What You'll Do – Essential Job Functions

• Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
• Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time.
• Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service.
• Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.

What You'll Bring – Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment (minimum 65 lbs).
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
• Experience with medical equipment or home healthcare (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

Requirements (Employment)

• Background investigation (company‑wide).
• Drug screen (when applicable).
• Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with medical equipment.
• One year of related work experience.
• Medical terminology.

Technical & Equipment Competencies

• Electronic mail, internet navigation, and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Use of office equipment (fax, copier, printer, phone, computer, tablet).
• Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Proper loading, unloading, and tie‑down procedures for transported cargo.
• Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies.

Physical Demands

• Lifting and carrying office equipment as needed.
• Requirements for sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening.
• Close vision for small print on computer and/or tablet.
• Lifting (minimum 65 lbs) and transporting patient equipment.
• Potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
• Driving a company vehicle for the majority of the day.
• Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy.
