Since 1984, Wayne and Jean Rath have pioneered the Duffy‑Rath system, which integrates treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). This approach addresses conditions such as back and neck pain, shoulder impingement, tennis and golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and more. We strive to improve the quality of life for our patients through innovative, evidence‑based care and education.
Role DescriptionWe are seeking a part‑time Physical Therapy (PT) Prevention and Ergonomic Specialist to join our team in DeLand, FL. This is a contract position that requires on‑site work. In this role, the specialist will focus on implementing the Duffy‑Rath system to assist individuals in preventing and managing musculoskeletal disorders. Daily tasks include evaluating workplace ergonomics, providing personalized prevention strategies, educating clients on health and safety practices, and collaborating with a team to deliver high‑quality care.
Candidates will receive full training in the Duffy‑Rath System and ongoing management from DRS headquarters and/or regional manager.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage with clients and team members.
- Analytical skills to assess ergonomic and general MSD risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Knowledge and experience in prevention methods and occupational health practices preferred.
- Understanding of workplace security and hazard mitigation related to musculoskeletal health.
- Willingness to learn and apply the Duffy‑Rath System through provided training sessions.
- Previous experience in physical therapy, ergonomics, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
