Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift at Country Pure Foods

Work schedule3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Responsibilities- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices and starts devices to test performance.
- Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares expertise with others.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in the decision-making process.
- Works with Maintenance Manager to prioritize and plan work activities and completes work in a timely manner.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Works within approved budget and conserves organizational resources.
- Follows policies and procedures and observes safety and security procedures.
- Uses equipment and materials properly and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Maintains inventory records and performs cycle counts as necessary.
- Mechanic should have their own basic tools (e.g., wrenches, sockets, pliers, nut drivers, screwdrivers, hammer).
- Education/
Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer
Skills:
Basic computer and keyboarding skills; knowledge of inventory and maintenance related software; PLC experience a plus. - Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, and talk/hear; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; vision requirements as listed.
