Overview

Seasonal Sales Associate – Delano, CA 93215. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, promoting store events, and supporting daily store operations during the seasonal period.

• Greet and assist customers promptly: acknowledge customers immediately and provide assistance while handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: assess needs with product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address issues using product knowledge and offer alternatives, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: regularly inform management about restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on the sales floor
• Communicate with customers and colleagues on the phone and in person, exchanging accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/put away merchandise
• Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekends, and potential overnight shifts
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for extended periods as required
