St. Andrew Parish School seeks an engaging, enthusiastic, and innovative educator to join our team as our 2nd Grade Teacher. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strength in positive problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and technology literacy are needed. The ability to provide a secure, comfortable, respectful, and inviting learning atmosphere, which motivates and challenges students to achieve at their highest level, is essential. Candidates must be able to employ a variety of teaching strategies, taking into account the learning needs of all of the children, and be able to work collaboratively with the teachers and administration rew Parish School.
Job SummaryPrayerfully and actively educates and enhances each student’s life by academic engagement, behavior, and spiritual growth rooted in the life of Christ. Builds a partnership with school parents to support their child’s lifelong learning in the community. Please know this position will have an emphasis on our Catholic faith as 2nd grade is a Sacramental year. The 2nd grade teacher plays a vital role in preparing students to receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
This includes not only the preparation instruction, but also ensuring all students preparing to receive the Sacraments have also been Baptized and are eligible to receive the age appropriate Sacraments.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the field of teacher education or related field.
- Current State of WI teaching license (or meet all requirements for a plan of study to obtain licensure).
- Working knowledge of office software.
- Valid driver’s license for the State of Wisconsin preferred.
- Professional working attitude and collaborative approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with supervisor and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Models Catholic spirituality, attitudes, and behaviors.
