Position PurposeUnder direction of the Production Supervisor, Operator A operates machines to manufacture a variety of standard parts to close tolerances and finish requirements.

Full-Time (Custom Part-Time Shifts Available for Qualified Machinists)
Salary Range: $22-$27 per hour DOE
Shifts Available:
Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday. 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 1:00 am ($2.25 shift premium).

- Receive work assignments, drawings, sequence of operations, and machine requirements (feeds, speeds, dimensions, tolerances).
- Adjust and operate machines to perform progressive machining operations.
- Select and prepare correct parts and load into machines.
- Operate machines by adjusting levers/hand wheels, engaging power, controlling coolant, observing operations, checking dimensions, and adjusting as necessary.
- Remove burrs and chips after operation.
- Perform close tolerance machining operations (centering, drilling, reaming, tapping, turning, milling, deburr at back side, file and/or sand).
- Operate multiple machines and adapt operations as needed with supervisor approval.
- Dress, grind, or sharpen tools; lubricate machines as needed.
- Work from drawings and job layouts using measuring instruments; make machine/tool adjustments as needed.
- Obtain and return tools; learn offsets and tooling changes; maintain tools in proper order.
- Check parts per specification; complete forms such as part tags, process sheets, and timecards; maintain quality consciousness and seek improvements.
- 5 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain clean and safe work area; exhibit integrity and accountability.
- Ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret English; perform basic math.
- Ability to work at established production levels and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Regularly sit, stand, stoop, crouch, and kneel; vision requirements including close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
- Compliance with all company safety and quality policies.
- Moderate noise; temperature variances; exposure to fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
