Production Technician/Back up Material Handler (2nd Shift 3:00PM-1:00AM)
This non-supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, will care for all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. Technicians will ensure that assigned machines are running to their full capacity, oversee and perform light maintenance, and perform quality checks to drive Continental Plastic (CPC) profitability and achieve organizational KPI's and strategic objectives.
Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, responsibilities include:
- Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
- Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
- Check machine output and identify any issues.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
- Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks.
- Perform necessary tasks to verify manufacturing requirements against production orders. Check for accuracy, shortages, and damaged material. Detect and report defective material against product specifications. Pull and deliver materials and supplies to designated areas. Maintain records of material and supply movement.
- Deliver raw materials to the machines, as needed, and lead or assist in the set-up of raw materials in the manufacturing machines.
