Director of Sales – DMV (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia)

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Area VP of Sales.
  • Sell products by managing and expanding the customer base and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Manage all Territory Managers and Territory Associates in the assigned region.
  • Provide positive mentoring to ensure that company goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for the assigned region in support of national objectives.
  • Meet with key leaders in the spine field to drive company business and acceptance of SIJ diagnosis and treatment.
  • Drive revenue to meet company objectives in a cost‑effective manner with a focus on budget management.
  • Develop plans that detail how regional team members can meet or exceed sales goals and quotas.
  • Work closely with senior management to align priorities and create a sense of urgency to ensure successful endpoints are achieved and timelines are met.
  • Execute and refine the selling strategy in the assigned region.
  • Foster a positive team environment with a focus on coaching and development of all direct reports.
  • Responsible for management of implant shelf life and instrument sets; damaged or expired product must be returned to SI‑BONE, Inc.
  • Prepare demonstrations and present products representing the company at trade shows.
  • Monitor and evaluate the competition and suggest new products that will help expand the company’s business.
  • Hold any product or quality documentation from shipment or further processing in case of potential non‑compliance with applicable standards or regulations (e.g., FDA QSRs, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
  • Support the SI‑BONE Quality System.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements as outlined in the SI‑BONE Quality Manual.
  • Act honestly, ethically, and legally, and report any suspected violations of laws, regulations, codes, or policies in accordance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management with a focus on Sales and Marketing.
  • Experience in orthopedics and spine is highly desired; experience with independent surgical dealerships is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in a high‑growth medical device organization whose products are marketed to medical specialty practices.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of applicable regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 14971).
  • Available to travel extensively.

  • Excellent communication skills across all channels.
  • Effective presentation skills to cross‑functional areas of the company and outside healthcare professionals.
  • History of managing relationships at all levels of the organization and strong customer focus.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and complete projects.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and apply creative solutions.
  • High level of energy and collaborative management style.
